Barry Kerfoot

A founding partner of Kerfoot & Company, Barry Kerfoot has practiced for over 36 years in the areas of corporate/commercial, real property law, family law, and other litigation. Barry is also a registered Trade Mark Agent.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Barry obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree and his law degree from the University of British Columbia. Upon completion of law school, he joined Fulton, Cumming, Bird Richards, becoming a Partner of the firm (then known as Cumming, Richards, Underhill, Fraser & Skillings) three years later. In 1977 Barry started Kerfoot, Burroughs and Co,mpany.

Barry has extensive experience in real estate, business and family law. In addition to his work as a solicitor, Barry has litigated matters related to corporate/commercial, real property, and banking and insolvency. He has acted as counsel before the Supreme Court and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

Barry is actively involved as a volunteer with the Lawyers Assistance Program, and a director and President of the Edgewood Foundation. Barry is the father of six grown children and the proud grandfather to five grandchildren.
