Jean Yu

Jean Yu was born in Taiwan. She immigrated to Canada after completing Grade 5 and has lived in Vancouver since 1970. She received her Bachelor of Laws from the Faculty of Law at U.B.C. in 1984. Fluent in Chinese and speaks Mandarin and Cantonese, Jean has practiced as a lawyer since 1985. Her preferred areas of practice are corporate / commercial, commercial leasing, real estate, financing, and wills and estates. Jean has lectured on legal topics in Mandarin for the People's Law School and the Vancouver School Board. She has served on the board of several non-profit organizations as well as the School Planning Council for Kerrisdale Annex Elementary School. Jean enjoys many sports and the practice of yoga and singing.
